I went to see it last week, I thought it was a pretty crazy movie. I liked the dinner scene, which was really weird. This movie was pretty graphic too, everyone walked out in the theater except me. There were only about 5 people in there including me. They all left right at the beginning of the movie lol. Those chickens, they missed all the action. I didn’t find the movie scary at all, mostly dark and disturbing. I think in the end though, it needed more to it. I did hear alot got cut from the movie, so hopefully the scenes that they took out will be on the DVD. It was a great prequel, but was just too short. Hopefully the dvd will have a lot of extra scenes. The fat tea lady was hilarious, I wish the little kid Jedidiah and that other ugly girl were in the movie. I guess they didn’t want to be in the movie, they were in the 2003 version though. Or maybe the haven't met the Hewitt family yet. Who knows? lol Overall I’d give the movie a 9/10 ![:-*](http://home.insightbb.com/~leatherfacette/flface.gif)

It didn't occur to me that Jedidiah and the girl were missing until long after the credits rolled.
Maybe the boy was one of the stolen children that the remake addresses. As for the girl, when Scott Kosar said she was Leatherface's sister so I think a bit of continuity has gone awry there (then again, as George Lucas has proven, prequels don't always marry up well to the original film).
I believe I read on Wikipedia that in order to get the rating they were after, some stuff had to be cut. The article intimates we'll see this on the DVD (a bit weird that; years ago you saw the longer cut at the movies and the video would end up being edited).
I found it very brutal and the end quite arbitrary (don't want to say anymore as there may well be people on the forum who haven't seen it yet). I think that this, together with the remake, make a fine addition to the series.
I thought David S Schow was supposed to have written the screenplay, though. Was this not the case?

I absolutely loved it! It was perfect, much better than I expected. There were alot more killings than usual. There were a great scene when he first used his chainsaw and it was beautiful. It showed how grandpa lost his legs, how the Sheriff became the shariff and lost his teeth, it also revealed just about everything of Leatherface. The chainsaw, his mask, and more. He actualy used his chainsaw in the movie more than twice and you actualy got to see him rip a fucking face off someone and put it on! 10/10 ![:-*](http://home.insightbb.com/~leatherfacette/flface.gif)
